COVID-19 Claims Life of 4 Palestinian Medics Abroad

Four Palestinian Medics have died as a result of coronavirus contaminations in foreign countries, reported the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said on Wednesday that a Palestinian pharmacist who lives in New Jersey was the latest victim among the Palestinian community in the United States of the coronavirus outbreak.

It said that Saif Titi, a leading member of the Palestinian community in New Jersey, was declared dead after contracting coronavirus.

On Monday, retired Palestinian doctor Kasem Issa, who lives in Galicia city, was pronounced dead in Spain after he contracted the virus.

Last week, the Ministry said coronavirus claimed the life of Palestinian doctor Hisham Yousef Hamd, from Gaza, while he was doing his duty in Spain, fighting the virus at one of the country’s hospitals.

The Foreign Ministry later said a Palestinian doctor has also died of coronavirus, the first among the Palestinian community in Italy. He was identified as Nabil Khair, deputy head of the Palestinian community in Europe.

The number of COVID-19 infections worldwide has hit 1,455,987. The pandemic took away the lives of 83,687 people. 310,108 patients have recovered so far.
