Palestinian Expatriate Succumbs to COVID-19 in US

A Palestinian expatriate has died from the novel coronavirus COVID-19 in the United States, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announced on Saturday.

The Ministry said so far, 25 Palestinians have been pronounced dead in the diaspora due to coronavirus contaminations abroad.

It added that 614 Palestinians have contracted the virus abroad, including 379 in the United States alone.

Last week, the Ministry reported that four Palestinian Medics died of COVID-19 in the diaspora. The latest of these victims was a Palestinian pharmacist who lived in New Jersey.

The number of COVID-19 infections worldwide has hit 1,783,724. The pandemic took away the lives of 108,907 people. 404,865 patients have recovered so far.
