The first corona-related fatality was confirmed among the Palestinian community in Canada, reported the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Wednesday.
In a tweet, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that a 66-year-old Palestinian woman from the city of Edmonton, the capital of Canada's Alberta province, succumbed to COVID-19.
The Ministry said the woman is the first fatality among the Palestinian refugee community in Canada.
On Monday, the Ministry said 30 Palestinian expatriates around the world have succumbed to the novel coronavirus COVID-19 and 678 others have tested positive for the disease.
