The novel coronavirus pandemic has claimed so far the lives of 39 Palestinians living abroad and infected 760 others, said the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Thursday.
According to the Ministry, the highest number of deaths and infected cases is recorded among Palestinians in America, with 29 deaths and 539 confirmed cases.
Spain came next with three deaths while Canada had yesterday its first case of death among its Palestinian community in Alberta.
A total of 200 Palestinian patients have recovered from the virus worldwide so far.
Up to now, 2,117,309 people have tested positive for COVID-19 worldwide. The death toll stands at 141,846.
