39 Palestinians Succumb to COVID-19, 830 Confirmed Cases Abroad

The novel coronavirus pandemic has claimed so far the lives of 39 Palestinians living abroad and infected 830 others, said the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Sunday.

According to the Ministry, the highest number of deaths and infected cases is recorded among Palestinians in America, with 29 deaths and 575 confirmed cases, after 14 new cases were reported in the states of Michigan, Ohio, and New Jersey.

Sometime earlier, the Ministry said Spain came next with three deaths while Canada had its first case of death among its Palestinian community in Alberta a few days earlier.

A total of 209 Palestinian patients have recovered from the virus worldwide so far.

Up to now, 2,409,826 people have tested positive for COVID-19 worldwide. The death toll stands at 165,109.
