A Palestinian refugee woman has gone missing for over a week’ time in the Greek’s metropolitan capital city of Athens.

Human rights sources said Palestinian refugee Lutfiya Mahmoud, a former resident of Syria’s Yarmouk refugee camp, in Damascus, suddenly disappeared from Athens, where she had been taking shelter.

The refugee, aged 72, reportedly disappeared on April 10, after she left her home in Omonia Square. Her condition and whereabouts could not be identified.

Palestinian refugees continue to risk their lives onboard the “death boats” to Greece, rummaging around for a momentary respite from violence and economic hardship.
