The Israeli military forces knocked down a Palestinian agricultural facility in the Jordan Valley village of Tayasir, east of the city of Tubas.

Human rights activist Aref Daraghmeh said army forces raided the village and proceeded with the demolition of the agricultural structure, which covers an area of 36 square meters.

The demolition was carried out under the pretext it was built without a permit.

The Jordan Valley is classified as Area C as per the Oslo accords and is under full Israeli military control. Palestinians are not allowed to develop it or build there without an army permit, which is impossible to obtain.

The Jordan Valley, which stretches north of the Dead Sea and west of the occupied West Bank's borders with Jordan, constitutes around 30 per cent of the total occupied West Bank.

According to local and international NGOs, including Israeli watchdog B’Tselem, Israel denies Palestinians living in the Jordan Valley, as well as other areas in the West Bank, access to land, water and electricity, making living conditions tough.
