Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah received, earlier this week, a video call from the new commissioner-General of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) Philippe Lazzarini, reported Kuwaiti news Agency Kuna.

Sheikh Ahmad affirmed Kuwait’s support for the Agency’s work and its lofty goals once again in light of what the world is going through as a result of the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.

Meanwhile, UNRWA’s Lazzarini hailed Kuwait’s vital role in supporting the Agency’s mission, expressing his deep appreciation and gratitude for the pioneering and distinguished humanitarian role played by Kuwait in assisting vulnerable people and boosting humanitarian work regionally and internationally.

Lazzarini also praised the continuous support provided by Kuwait to the agency’s activities in general and to the Palestinian people and their just cause in particular.
