146 Palestinian expatriates have died of coronovirus abroad and 2,103 have contracted the virus so far, the Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ministry announced on Thursday.
According to the ministry’s database, 1,212 recovery cases among Palestinians have been recorded in the diaspora.
The ministry said that a 63-year-old woman succumbed to coronavirus in the US, raising the total death toll among the Palestinian community since the pandemic outbreak to 63.
In Chili, eight Palestinians were diagnosed with the virus, raising the total confirmed cases among the Palestinian community to 27, including 18 cases who recovered. So far, one Palestinian fatality was recorded.
In Nigeria, the first COVID-19 case was recorded among the Palestinian community. The woman resides in Lagos city.
