Saudi Arabia Calls for Empowerment of Palestine Refugees

Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Jordan Nayef bin Bandar Al-Sudairy received on Thursday at his office ​​the Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees “UNRWA” Philippe Lazzarini, according to Saudi 24 news.

Ambassador Al-Sudairy stressed the kingdom’s keenness to enable UNRWA to assume its social responsibilities towards the Palestinian refugees, as well as its political and legal responsibilities, by securing their rights and the rights of the countries hosting them.

Ambassador Al-Sudairy praised the efforts of the Commissioner-General “and UNRWA” in supporting the Palestinians and alleviating their suffering, especially in these difficult and unstable times, as the world continues to face the challenges posed by the emerging Coronavirus.

In turn, the Commissioner-General of UNRWA, Philippe Lazzarini, appreciated the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting UNRWA’s work and efforts to care for Palestine refugees.
