At least 282 Palestinians taking refuge in foreign countries have succumbed to the novel coronavirus, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
The Ministry said a Palestinian man in Brazil has died earlier this week of coronavirus.
It identified the victim as 51-year-old Na’el Fawzi ‘Arar. His death brings the number of Palestinians who have died of COVID-19 in Brazil to six.
At the same time, seven new coronavirus cases have been recorded among Palestinians in the United States, where the death toll stands at 81.
According to the Ministry’s database, a total of 6,737 Palestinians have tested positive for the fatal disease abroad.
