7 More Palestinians Die of Coronavirus Abroad, Death Toll Hits 317

The novel coronavirus has claimed the lives of seven more Palestinians living in foreign countries, reported the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.

The Ministry said in a Sunday statement that 30 new coronavirus cases were recorded among the Palestinian refugee communities abroad.

So far, 7,585 Palestinians sheltered in foreign countries have tested positive for the highly contagious disease, while the death toll among Palestinian expatriates in the world has hit 317.

According to the ministry’s database, five of the new deaths were recorded in the United States, where 93 Palestinians have succumbed to the disease.

The 30 new cases were also recorded in the US, which raises the total cases among Palestinians in the country to 4,678.

At the same time, a member of the Palestinian refugee community was pronounced dead in Saudi Arabia, where a total of 107 Palestinians have died of the virus.

The ministry added that the disease claimed the life of another Palestinian in Poland.
