The Israeli occupation authorities released a Palestinian refugee after they kept him behind prison bars for 14 months.

Palestinian activist Amer AlAjouri, from Duheisheh refugee camp, south of Bethlehem, in the southern occupied West Bank, was released from an Israeli lock-up after he ended his prison term.

The newly-released refugee is an anti-occupation activist and active member of local CSOs.

Like many other Palestinian activists he has been targeted in arbitrary manhunts launched by the Israeli military across the occupied territories.

He had spent a total of over seven years in Israeli prisons, mostly under administration detention, with neither charge nor trial.
