Another 12 Palestinians taking refuge in foreign countries have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, reported the Palestinian Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ministry on Sunday.

The Ministry said in a press statement that 12 coronavirus cases have been confirmed among Palestinians in the United States of America.

The new infections bring the total confirmed cases among Palestinians in the US to 5,510 while the death toll stands at 98.

According to the Ministry’s database, 327 Palestinians have died of coronavirus in the diaspora, and a total of 8,437 have contracted the disease worldwide since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
