Palestinian Refugee Succumbs to Coronavirus in Italy

A Palestinian refugee died on Saturday of the novel coronavirus in Italy, bringing the death toll among Palestinians abroad to 345, reported the Palestinian Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ministry.

The ministry said in a press statement that Palestinian refugee Mahmoud Abu Aisha contracted the disease in Italy. He was pronounced dead days afterward.

So far, the virus claimed the lives of five Palestinians in Italy.

According to the ministry’s database, as many as 8,917 Palestinians have tested positive for COVID-19 in foreign countries.
