One More Palestinian Succumbs to Coronavirus Abroad, 500 Infected

One death from coronavirus and 500 new positive cases were recorded among Palestinians living abroad during the last 24 hours, reported the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Friday.

The Ministry said in a press statement that Dr. Khalil Nazzal, top representative of ruling Fatah Movement to Poland and a medical practitioner, died from complications resulting from COVID-19.

In the United States, 500 Palestinian expatriates tested positive for the virus in Chicago, bringing the total cases registered among the Palestinian community in the US so far to 7,812.

Acccording to the Ministry’s databse, a total of 362 Palestinians have died of coronavirus in the diaspora, while 10,810 cases have been recorded since the outbreak of the pandemic in early 2020.
