Another 368 Palestinians taking refuge in foreign countries have been infected with Covid-19 and another has succumbed to the virus, reported the Palestinian Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ministry on Monday evening.

The ministry announced in a press statement that a Palestinian expatriate died due to the highly contagious virus in Venezuela, raising the coronavirus-related death toll among Palestinians in the country since the pandemic outbreak to four. The total confirmed cases among Palestinians there stands at 15.

At the same time, a Palestinian tested positive for the virus in Egypt.

The Ministry added that a number of Palestinians contracted the highly-contagious virus Chicago, raising the total confirmed cases among Palestinians in the United States to 9,029. The death toll among Palestinians in the US stands at 116.

According to the latest ministry updates, 12,030 diaspora Palestinians have tested positive for the virus. The death toll has hit 364.
