The Israeli occupation authorities have increased the scale of house demolitions across the occupied Palestinian territories, leaving dozens of Palestinians without roofs over their heads.

On Wednesday, Israeli bulldozers turned a Palestinian house in the south of the West Bank into mounds of rubble.

The destroyed facilities used to shelter a family with five children with special needs. The Israeli occupation forces also damaged the electricity grid that was supplying 10 homes in the same area with power.

Local sources said an Israeli troop escorted by a bulldozer raided Beit Awwa town, west of the southern West Bank city of AlKhalil, and proceeded with the demolition of the 180-square-meter house.

The house was demolished for the second time under the pretext that it is located in Area C of the occupied West Bank, which is under full Israeli military rule and makes up over 60 percent of the area of the West Bank.

Israel does not allow Palestinian construction or development in Area C, which it often reserves for building and extending its illegal settlements.
