2 More Palestinians Succumb to COVID-19 Abroad

Two more Palestinian refugees sheltered in foreign countries have died of  the novel coronavirus, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.

The ministry said that 74-year-old Hanan Adeeb Ahmad Abu ‘Asi died of coronavirus in Qatar, raising the death toll among Palestinians in the Gulf country to 11.

At the same time, a member of the Palestinian community in Brazil has died from the disease, bringing the death toll among Palestinians there to 14.

The Ministry’s database indicates that the virus claimed the lives of 385 Palestinians abroad.

13,310 Palestinians have contracted the virus in the diaspora since the outbreak of the pandemic.
