Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh met with Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) Philippe Lazzarini, in Ramallah, where he was briefed on the situation of the Palestinian diaspora worldwide.

The meeting tackled the agency’s financial situation in light of the political and economic challenges in the region, reported WAFA news agency.

They also discussed promoting joint coordination to mobilize financial support to UNRWA, stressing the importance of ensuring the continuation of providing services to refugees, whether in Palestine or in diaspora refugee camps, especially in the health and education sectors.
