Search operations are underway to determine the condition and whereabouts of the Palestinians who attempted to migrate to Greece and went missing after their boat capsized in the Aegean Sea.

Palestine's ambassador to Turkey, Fayed Mustafa, told the Voice of Palestine radio that the embassy is following up on the search operations after the lifeless body of one Palestinian from Gaza was found at a Turkish beach. The embassy indicated its readiness to transfer the body to Gaza for burial.

The ambassador said eight Palestinians are currently being held at the Turkish Immigration Department awaiting a final decision regarding their deportation from or admission into the Turkish territories.
