Israeli forces on Monday demolished a Palestinian building which is under construction in Ramallah and al-Bireh district, the cosmopolitan heart of the central occupied West Bank.

Palestinian media sources said the two-storey building belongs to local Palestinian residents and covers an overall area of 400 square meters.

One of the owners, Wissam Joweles, said he constructed his apartment last year after he spent a sum of nearly $200,000.

A couple of months ago, Israeli authorities ordered Wissam to stop construction works under the pretext of unlicensed building.
