The Israeli occupation authorities demolished this morning a Palestinian-owned building that was still in the construction stage in Shufat refugee camp, northeast of occupied East Jerusalem, according to local sources.
Palestinian news agency WAFA said Israeli forces took over rooftops and secured the area where the building is located before a bulldozer proceeded to tear it down under the pretext the owner did not have a building permit.
Palestinians in East Jerusalem build without a permit because getting one from the Israeli occupiers is an almost impossible task.
