Israeli occupation forces on Monday demolished two Palestinian houses in Beit Dajan, east of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, according to local sources.

Head of Beit Dajan village council Tawfiq al-Haj Mohammad said Israeli soldiers escorted by bulldozers broke into the village and tore down two houses under construction.

Local residents appealed to the soldiers to stop the demolition. The military responded by firing tear gas canisters at them causing several suffocation cases.

In nearby Foroush Beit Dajan, Israeli forces also demolished a greenhouse owned by a local resident under the pretext of construction in a “firing zone” area.
