Israeli occupation forces uprooted on Sunday olive trees planted on Palestinian land in Al Khader town, to the south of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank.

Local sources said Israeli troops bulldozed Palestinian land in Al Khader and destroyed over 90 olive trees.

Universally regarded as the symbol of peace and steadfastness, the olive tree has become the object of violence by Israeli forces and Jewish settlers. For more than fifty years of occupation, Israel has uprooted millions of olive trees and fruit trees in Palestine with terrible economic and ecological consequences for the Palestinian people.
