Israeli occupation authorities ordered on Thursday the demolition of a Palestinian house in the town of AlKhader, to the south of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank.

Ahmad Salah, a local rights activist, told WAFA news agency that Israeli forces handed Yousef Abd Mousa, a Palestinian resident of the town, a notice ordering the demolition of his house, citing unpermitted construction as a pretext.

Like other areas located within Area C, under full Israeli jurisdiction, the issuance of construction permits for Palestinians is strictly limited, forcing Palestinians residing in these areas to embark on construction without obtaining a permit.

Israel’s planning and building policy in the West Bank derails Palestinian development and dispossessing Palestinians of their land, said the Israeli information center for human rights in occupied territories, B’Tselem.

On the other hand, Israel easily gives the estimated 560,000 Jewish settlers there building permits and provides them with roads, electricity, water and sewage systems that remain inaccessible to many native Palestinians.
