The Israeli municipality of West Jerusalem demolished on Wenesday a Palestinian house on Salah al-Din Street in occupied East Jerusalem, just a few hours after they forced the owner to tear down part of the building.

One day earlier, Palestinian young man Azzam Abu Asab embarked on demolishing part of his home to avoid paying exorbitant fines to the Israeli municipality.

Israeli municipality staff showed up in the area and razed the building to the ground under the pretext of unlicensed construction.

Israeli forces assaulted the family members and stole a sum of nearly $1000 from the house.
