Israeli occupation forces raided on Monday morning Palestinian homes in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem and detained at least 14 people, including a father and his son, according to local sources.
In the Ramallah area, soldiers detained three Palestinians after raiding their homes, two of them from Jalazon refugee camp and the third from the village of Kubar, northwest of Ramallah.
Clashes broke out between the camp residents and the heavily armed Israeli soldiers, who showered the area with tear gas and rubber-coated metal bullets in order to disband the protesters.
Israeli troops also barged their way into nearby Palestinian towns and villages and detained other persons, sparking panic among the residents.
Israeli forces raid Palestinian houses almost on a daily basis across the occupied territories under the pretext of searching for "wanted" Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.
Under Israeli military law, army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
