The Israeli occupation bulldozers demolished on Tuesday a Palestinian house in al-Mazra'a al-Gharbieh, northwest of Ramallah, without prior notice.

Palestnian news agency WAFA said the demolition was carried out under the pretext the house is located near an Israeli settlement.

Bassam al-Khatib, mayor of al-Mazra’a al-Gharbieh, said a large Israeli army force accompanied by several bulldozers demolished the 100-square-meter house built more than 20 years ago and owned by Asaad Ghazi Shreiteh because it is located near the Jewish settlement outpost known as Horsha, west of the town, without informing the owner of the intention to demolish it.

Khatib pointed out that the settlers in this outpost are considered among the extremists who attack Palestinian homes under the protection of the occupation army whenever they have the opportunity, which often leads to confrontations.

The Israeli occupation authorities seized 6000 dunums of the town's total area, estimated at about 13,000 dunums. The town is surrounded illegal Israeli settlements and outposts, namely the settlements of Nahlael, Talmon, and the two outposts of Horsha and Kerem Raim.
