For the last fortnight there have been protests every day across the globe, attended in huge numbers. Millions of people across the world have come out on demonstrations and protests demanding both an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and for the freedom of the Palestinian people.
Over 300,000+ British protestors marched to Downing Street calling on October 21st, hundreds of thousands gathered for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, and in outrage over the British government's complicit and outspoken support of the Israeli government.
Mass protests have been seen in cities around the world from London, Washington DC, New York, Frankfurt, Berlin, Cairo, Baghdad, Havana, Algiers, Sydney, Melbourne, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Rome, Los Angeles, Glasgow, Chicago, Stockholm, Belfast, Paris, Amman, Toronto, Istanbul, Beirut, Damascus, Karachi, Doha, Athens, Barcelona, Mumbai, Tokyo, Tehran, Seoul, Cape Town, Dublin, Rabat, Sanaa, Kuala Lumpur, Lyon, Brussels, Geneva, among countless others.
Anti-zionist Jewish groups such as ‘Not in Our Name’ and ‘Jewish Voice for Peace’, gathered thousands to shut down and occupy the U.S. Congress, direct action is being taken in addition to mass public dissent.
