More than 20 Palestinians have been pronounced dead overnight in an Israeli attack on the Nuseirat Refugee camp, in the central Gaza Strip.

Eye-witnesses said Israeli fighter jets pummeled a house on Al-Eshrin Street, east of the camp, killing at least 20 people and wounding dozens of others.

Civilians continue their search efforts to remove children’s and women’s bodies trapped under the rubble of destroyed houses.

Israeli air strikes have gone unabated, targeting civilian houses in Jabalia refugee camp, Khan Younis, and other areas of the Gaza Strip.

According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, Israeli warplanes launched intense airstrikes in the vicinities its Al-Amal Hospital in Khan Younis.

According to Gaza’s Government Media Office, at least 20,000 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip since Israel began bombarding the enclave more than 10 weeks ago. More than 8,000 children and 6,200 women are among those killed.
