At least 22 people were killed in Israeli air and ground attacks that targeted various parts of the blockaded Gaza Strip, local sources reported on Sunday.

The Israeli military has pummeled residential neighborhoods and shelters in Rafah and Khan Younis, in southern Gaza Strip.

More than 11 people have been pronounced dead after Israeli warplanes struck a house in eastern Rafah.

Civil Defense Crew said a number of dead bodies and injured people have been removed from the bombarded houses.

In another onslaught on the Rimal district of Gaza City, the bodies of eight victims were removed from the rubble.

Israel launched a deadly offensive on the Gaza Strip on Oct. 7 that has killed at least 27,238 Palestinians and injured 66,452. The Israeli offensive has left 85% of Gaza’s population internally displaced amid acute shortages of food, clean water and medicine, while 60% of the enclave’s infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed, according to the UN.
