Israeli airstrikes on Wednesday targeted residential buildings in the central Gaza Strip, resulting in several deaths, according to medical sources.
Eyewitnesses reported that a building and two apartments in the Nuseirat Refugee Camp in central Gaza were hit.
Medical sources confirmed that several Palestinians were killed, with the bodies taken to Al-Awda Hospital in central Gaza.
Additionally, local sources indicated that Israeli forces shelled a group of civilians in the Jabalia Refugee Camp in northern Gaza, leading to more fatalities.
Israel's ongoing offensive on Gaza, which began following an attack by the Palestinian group Hamas on October 7, has drawn international condemnation. This is despite a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire.
Since the conflict began, local health authorities report that over 37,700 Palestinians, primarily women and children, have been killed, and nearly 86,400 others injured.
Eight months into the conflict, vast areas of Gaza are in ruins due to a severe blockade restricting access to food, clean water, and medicine.
The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has accused Israel of genocide, ordering Tel Aviv to cease operations in Rafah, where over a million Palestinians had sought refuge before the city was invaded on May 6.
