The Israeli army ordered residents of the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza on Wednesday to immediately leave their homes ahead of attacks in the area, reported Anadolu Agency.

Military spokesman Avichay Adraee said residents must head to what he called a “humanitarian zone” in central Gaza, alleging that rockets were fired from the area.

The army said early Wednesday that four rockets had been fired from central Gaza towards Israeli settlements near Gaza border, triggering air-raid sirens.

No injuries were reported.

The Israeli army has repeatedly issued evacuation orders for Palestinian civilians in several areas across Gaza in the course of its war on the enclave.

Israel has launched a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip that has killed over 44,800 people, mostly women and children, since a Hamas attack on Oct. 7 last year.

Last month, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on Gaza.
