Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip have claimed the lives of at least 38 more Palestinians, raising the death toll since last year to 45,097, the Gaza Health Ministry reported on Wednesday.
According to the ministry’s statement, around 107,244 people have sustained injuries during the ongoing attacks.
In the past 24 hours alone, Israeli forces have killed 38 people and injured 203 others in three separate massacres targeting families in the enclave, the statement added.
The ministry confirmed that rescue operations remain severely hindered, with many civilians still trapped beneath collapsed buildings or stranded on roads inaccessible to emergency teams.
Israel has maintained its military campaign against the Gaza Strip, which began following a Hamas-led attack on October 7 of last year, despite a United Nations Security Council resolution demanding an immediate cease-fire.
The protracted violence has fueled widespread international criticism, with growing condemnation of the attacks and the blockade of humanitarian aid, which many see as a calculated effort to obliterate a civilian population.
In a significant legal development last month, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, citing their alleged involvement in war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
