Israeli military operations in the occupied West Bank on Thursday claimed the lives of six Palestinians, including an 80-year-old woman, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

The ministry reported that two fatalities occurred during an Israeli raid on the Balata refugee camp in Nablus. Among them was the elderly woman, who succumbed to gunshot wounds to her chest and leg.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society confirmed that four others were injured in the Balata raid, including a 65-year-old man who was shot in the back.

Witnesses described the raid, which took place early Thursday, as sparking clashes between Israeli forces and residents.

In a separate incident, four additional Palestinians were killed, and three others sustained severe injuries when an Israeli drone targeted a vehicle in the northern city of Tulkarem.

Eyewitnesses reported that the attack left the vehicle engulfed in flames.

Israeli military raids in the West Bank have become increasingly frequent in recent years, with a sharp escalation since the outbreak of war in Gaza on October 7, 2023. Palestinians in the West Bank have also faced violent assaults by illegal Israeli settlers during this period.

The Palestinian Health Ministry reports that since October, at least 822 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 6,500 injured in the occupied West Bank due to Israeli military actions.
