Palestinian medical teams have recovered 18 more bodies from beneath the rubble of destroyed buildings in the Gaza Strip, bringing the death toll from Israel’s military offensive since October 2023 to 47,518, reported the Health Ministry on Monday.
According to the ministry, 20 more people were evacuated to hospitals within the past 24 hours, raising the total number of wounded people to 111,612 as a result of Israel’s relentless attacks.
Meanwhile, many casualties remain trapped under debris and along the roads, with rescue teams unable to reach them.
Earlier on Sunday, Gaza’s government media office reported that the overall death toll had reached at least 61,709, including 14,222 people still missing beneath the rubble.
