The ongoing devastation in Gaza continues as Palestinian rescue teams uncovered 10 more bodies beneath the rubble, raising the total number of fatalities since Israel’s war began in October 2023 to 48,339, the Health Ministry reported on Sunday.

In addition to the rising death toll, hospitals received 10 new casualties within the past 24 hours, bringing the overall number of those injured to 111,753.

According to the ministry, countless victims remain trapped under collapsed buildings and on the streets, with rescuers struggling to reach them.

Although a ceasefire was officially declared on January 19, offering temporary relief from the large-scale bombardment, violations by Israeli forces persist, according to local authorities in Gaza. Reports indicate near-daily breaches of the agreement, further worsening the humanitarian crisis in the war-torn enclave.
