A new wave of Israeli airstrikes on Tuesday killed at least 23 Palestinians and left dozens more wounded across several areas of the Gaza Strip, according to medical sources.
Seven Palestinians were killed as they waited for humanitarian aid near a distribution center at the Netzarim Corridor in central Gaza.
In southern Gaza, six displaced civilians lost their lives when Israeli forces bombed tents in the al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis, where families had sought refuge.
In another deadly attack near an aid distribution point south of Khan Younis, four more people were killed and several others injured.
In central Gaza, two civilians — including a woman — were killed in an airstrike west of the Nuseirat refugee camp, while others were left wounded in the same area.
Meanwhile, five Palestinians were killed in Gaza City when Israeli warplanes struck two residential apartments. Additional injuries were reported after two homes in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood were bombed.
Israel has killed nearly 61,000 Palestinians since October 7, 2023, nearly half of them women and children. The unrelenting bombardment and blockade have devastated infrastructure, displaced nearly the entire population, and brought the strip to the brink of famine.
