The Parliament of Morocco has expressed its unconditional support for the Palestinian people and their inalienable rights while it has strongly criticized Israel’s human rights breaches.

This came in a statement read out at the beginning of the weekly general constitutional session of Morocco’s Parliament, on Friday, in line with the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.

The statement called on all international parties and the world’s parliaments to boost efforts in favor of the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, saying finding a solution to the conflict in line with international law and UN resolutions is the key to ending tension in the Middle East.

The statement further called for an end to US-backed oppressive Israeli policies targeting the Palestinians and their land.

The Moroccan Parliament said it has been following up on Israel’s oppressive measures, policies of collective punishment, the crippling blockade, and their calamitous repercussions on the socio-economic conditions in the occupied Palestinian territories.
