The Palestinian Return Centre (PRC) express its deep concerns and anxiety over latest aggression against Palestinian Refugees in Syria, Raml Refugee Camp.
The centre calls on the Syrian government to stop any assault and protect defenseless Palestinian refugees. PRC is worried at the level of violence as many reports suggested that thousands of Palestinian Refugees in that camp fled to the Syrian-Turkish borders. The refugees are grateful guests in Syria. It is a moral and legal duty for hosting governments and regimes to defend and secure protection of their basic human rights as guaranteed by International law. “Palestinian Refugees are temporary guests wherever they are. They are waiting and anticipating their right of return to be implemented so they can return to their homes and properties in their occupied land. We call on the Syrian government to allow International organizations into the camp, to investigate what’s have been said.” said PRCPRC is vigilantly observing reports coming out from the camp which said that heavy artillery shelling as well as naval one took place. This resulted in, according to the reports, the death of a number of Palestinians in addition to the fleeing of thousands of Palestinian Refugees towards Turkey.
