In addition to his parish ministry, he is an author, theologian and evangelist with books on Christian Zionism. His published books include, Christian Zionism and Zion’s Christian Soldiers.Ghada Karmi She is a Palestinian doctor of medicine, author and academic. She writes frequently on Palestinian issues in newspapers and magazines, including The Guardian, The Nation and Journal of Palestine Studies. Her books include Married to Another Man.Dr Daud Abdullah (Chair) He is the director of Middle East Monitor, commentator and author of numerous books including, How the Zionist Colonization of Palestine Radicalized British Muslims and The Israeli Law of Return & its Impact on the Struggle in Palestine, Palestinian Return Centre.SESSION TWOUri Davies He is an academic and a civil rights activist. Born to Jewish parents in Jerusalem, Davis describes himself as a Palestinian Hebrew. Davis is an honorary research fellow at the University of Durham's Institute for Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies (IMEIS) and at the University of Exeter. He has numerous publications including, Apartheid Israel: Possibilities for the Struggle Within, Citizenship and the State: A Comparative Study of Citizenship Legislation in Israel, Jordan, Palestine, Syria and Lebanon.Alison Weir Founder of the website If Americans Knew. An author of children’s books. She’s done extensive work on the media reporting of the Israeli Palestine conflict and lectured widely on the topic.Ibrahim Hewitt (Chair) Ibrahim Hewitt is the Senior Editor of MEMO. He is a media and education consultant and has been the chairman of Interpal, the Palestinian Relief and Development Fund, a British charity, since 1997. A school inspector, he is also the Head of Al-Aqsa School in Leicester.SESSION THREE Alan Hart is an author, former Middle East Chief Correspondent for Independent Television News, and former BBC Panorama presenter specializing in the Middle East. He is the author of Yasser Arafats biography and the three-part series Zionism: The Real Enemy of the Jews.John Bond He is a freelance writer from Canberra, Australia. Secretary of Australia’s National Sorry Day Committee 1998 – 2006. John was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for his work with the Sorry Day Committee.Dr Maria Holt (Chair) She is a Senior Lecturer in the Democracy and Islam Programme, which is part of the Department of Politics & International Relations. She has been working on projects focusing on Palestinian refugee women in Lebanon in terms of memory, identity and change, and the impact of Islamic resistance movements on women in Lebanon and the Palestinian territories.SESSION FOUR Martin Linton is a writer and lobbyist focusing on the Middle East. He is a former Member of Parliament and a Guardian journalist. In addition to campaigning on Palestine, Martin is the co-Director of Labour2Palestine, a travel company that specialises in Labour Party group visits to Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories.Sabbah Al Mukhtar He is lawyer and president of the Arab Lawyers Association in London. A human rights activists who regular comments in Aljazeera and other news channels on the Middle East and Palestine.Alan Hart (chair)
