After its last successful conference in 2010 The Palestine Conference makes a return this year in Nottingham University. The conference is set to revive the spirit of campaigning for Palestine within university campuses. The title of this year’s conference is “Palestine, Remember Me?”
Participants will experience a full insight into campaigning through keynote speeches by Dr. Norman Finkelstein and a number of workshops on effective methods of campaigning. The conference will also include panel discussions on key issues, such as refugees and settlements.
The issue of Palestine, although dearly held by many, has become cloudy in the eyes of some due to political instability and growing unease in the Middle East. This conference aims to put Palestine back on the agenda and provide clarity to students on why campaign for Palestine and how to campaign for Palestine.
This will be a day to educate, relax and inspire the mind with the diverse activities that are in line for those who attend. The conference will host the following speakers:
• Dr Norman Finkelstein• Tim Llewellyn • Sarah Colborne • Dr Daud Abdullah• Nasim Ahmed
More speakers to be confirmed. Check FOSIS website for updates.
This is an event not to be missed. Entry level and advance level campaigners welcome!
Transportation is available from London, Cardiff, and Manchester for only £15 including entry ticket!
