Call for Interns and Volunteers in London - The Palestine Return Centre

The Palestine Return Centre (PRC) is looking for four individuals to join our team and to assist the Centre with its range of activities which include conferences, workshops, website and social media management, studies/research and other events and to provide support to Palestinian refugees in particular and the Palestinian cause in general.


 

 

The PRC is an independent consultancy focusing on the historical, political and legal aspects of Palestinian Refugees. The organisation offers expert advice to various actors and agencies on the question of Palestinian Refugees within the context of the Nakba - the catastrophe following the forced displacement of Palestinians in 1948 - and serves as an information repository on other related aspects of the Palestine question and the Arab-Israeli conflict. It specialises in the research, analysis, and monitoring of issues pertaining to dispersed Palestinians and their internationally recognised legal right to return.

 

Job Title:                                Internships (x 4)

Period:                                  From 1 month up to 1 year.

Working For:                        Palestine Return Centre (PRC)

 

Location:                                London, Hanger Lane/Wembley, 100 H, Crown House    Business Building, NW10 7PN

Working Days/Hrs:                 2 to 5 days a week, from 11m to 4.30pm.

Salary:                                    All travel (London only) and lunch expenses will be paid and a small honorarium will also be paid.

 

Job Details:                           Key Responsibilities

Assist the PRC with implementing its campaigns Provide support to Palestinian refugees Desired skills and experience An interest in international relations in particular Middle East affairs Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to build and maintain good professional relationships Highly organised with the ability to multi-task, prioritise workload and work to deadlines Computer literate with experience of using Microsoft office

Experience and Certification: Interns and volunteers will obtain a certificate of experience  from the Centre. The centre will also stand as a referee for your future posts.
