The Palestinian Return Centre (PRC), British NGO, has received letters of support from dozens of British MPs and also European MEPs to join the United Nations.

Some individuals, organisations and MPs sent letters to Foreign and Commonwealth Office Minister Baroness Aneley to call on the UK Government to support this British NGO at the United Nations’ ECOSOC in its next meeting to be held in NY from 20-22 July 2015 .

PRC invite all members of the public to email their local MPs about the UN vote to urge Baroness Aneley to vote for the centre and urge European governments at ECOSOC take the same position.

Here is the suggested letter to send to your MP:

Dear………….MP,Urgent Request: Stop Israel violating our Sovereignty at the United NationsI am writing to you today as I would like you to present urgent written representations on my behalf to Baroness Anelay, the Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office with responsibility for the United Nations affairs.I’m really concerned about the behaviour of Israel at the United Nations. Israel is violating our sovereignty at the United Nations by asking member states to vote against the a British NGO called the Palestinian Return Centre at the ECOSOC. Israel is pressuring the European countries to vote against this NGO and circulate false claims that this NGO has ties with Palestinian political organisations.

I’m concerned about that I would greatly appreciate if you could raise on my behalf with Baroness Anelay is the forthcoming UN vote on giving recognised NGO status to the Palestinian Return Centre (PRC). The vote itself is taking place between 20-22 July at ECOSOC (The UN Economic and Social Council) and the UK has a vote at this specific UN Council in NY.

In early June 2015, United Nation’s NGO committee has recommended that the Palestinian Return Centre (PRC) be granted the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Consultative Status where our British NGO won the vote with a landslide majority where 12 states voted Yes,3 voted No and 3 abstained.For your knowledge, the Palestinian Return Centre is one of the few British NGOs that’s dedicated to find a solution for the Palestinian refugees in accordance with International law, International Human Rights Declaration and the many UN resolutions such as 194. The Centre  which is British NGO is operating in the UK and Europe since 1996 and it is an independent consultancy focusing on the historical, political and legal aspects of the Palestinian Refugees. It specializes in the research, analysis, and monitor of issues pertaining to the dispersed Palestinians and their internationally recognized legal right to return.PRC has worked with different British Governments and a variety of British MPs from all parties.The United Kingdom Mission to New York supported PRC before members of UN NGO committee which fortunately contributed to our success in getting the majority of the vote.Israel and its supporters in the UK has launched a negative media/smearing campaign against this British NGO. The campaign is stuffed with unfounded claims made by Israeli Governments and organisations . Small Israeli organisations and research bodies attempt to make pressure on the foreign office not to vote in favour of PRC. Again, this is a flagrant violation of our sovereignty and internal affairs. I really understand that you are extremely busy at the moment but I would appreciate it if you could convey my concern on this matter to Baroness Anelay. I would be thankful if I could receive a copy of any response you receive.
