PRC Meets with H.E. Ambassador Ibrahim Khreishi, Permanent Representative of Palestine to the United Nations in Geneva

Representatives from the Palestinian Return Centre (PRC) visited the Palestinian embassy in Geneva and met with H.E Ambassador Ibrahim Khreishi, Permanent Representative of Palestine to the United Nations in Geneva, to discuss pressing issues concerning the occupied Palestinian territories.

The meeting focused on the latest report by the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the occupied Palestinian territory and ongoing efforts to collect and disseminate data regarding the situation in Gaza.

During the visit, the PRC representatives handed over comprehensive reports and factsheets detailing the current state of affairs in the Gaza Strip, particularly in light of the ongoing Israeli military aggressions that have resulted in numerous casualties and extensive damage to infrastructure. These documents aim to provide a factual basis for international advocacy and to support calls for urgent humanitarian intervention.

Ambassador Khreishi commended the PRC for its diligent work in gathering and presenting accurate information on the ground realities in Gaza. He stressed the importance of such efforts in informing the international community and in advocating for the rights and protection of the Palestinian people.

PRC stressed the need for all concerned parties to continue to collaborate closely to ensure that the voices of those affected are heard and that the international community takes decisive action.

Touching on the findings of the Independent International Commission of Inquiry, which has been investigating human rights violations in the occupied Palestinian territories, both PRC and Ambassador Khreishi emphasized the need for the international community to take the Commission's findings seriously and to implement its recommendations to prevent further violence and to hold perpetrators accountable.

The Centre called for increased international pressure on Israel to cease its military operations and to adhere to international humanitarian law.

The ambassador highlighted the embassy's unwavering dedication to collaborating with the UN bodies and NGOs to ensure that the plight of Palestinians is accurately represented and that their calls for justice and peace are amplified on the global stage
