Invitation to Media outlets: Eights Palestinians in Europe Conference

On Saturday 8th May 2010, the Eights Palestinians in Europe Conferee will take place in Berlin, Germany. The Eight conference will be an opportunity for Palestinians from across Europe and elsewhere to gather and remind the international community not to forget the plight of Palestinians in diasporas as well as to voice their concerns.The event is being organized by The Palestinian Return Centre (PRC), Secretariat of Palestinians in Europe, and the Palestinian Assembly in Germany.


The event will last for one day starting from 10am Berlin time. The expected number of participated is estimated to be 10 thousands.

A number of workshops, galleries, discussion sessions, Palestinian folklore shows will take place. Additionally literature on Palestine will be shared.Participants are expected to write the Berlin Declaration which will affirm and stress on the right of return and grating Palestinians their basic human rights.Media outlets are welcome to visit the event. A specially equipped venue will be prepared for journalists and media persons.

Dr. Aziz Duwaik, Speaker of Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC), Mr. Bilal Al Hasan, Palestinian Writer-Palestinian Committee to Defend Palestinian Rights, Sheikh Raed Salah, Head of Islamic Movement in the Green Line, Mr. Ghasan Obaid, Human Right Activists-Friends of Humanity organization-Austria, Mr. Hussam Khader, Chair of Committee for Defending Palestinian Rights, Mr. Salah Salah, Head of Palestinian Refugees file in PLO, Dr. abdalgani Tamimi, Head of Palestinian Scholars Abroad

Photojournalist from Gaza Mohammad Jadallah, Winner of Best Photo about Gaza War will be showing his photos. Engineer Wael Al-Saqa, chair of Gaza rebuilding committee, member of Engineers Syndicate in Jordan will also participate. Munir Shafiq, Palestinian Thinker and writer and Ghassan bin Jiddo, the head of Al Jazeera's Beirut office- Lebanon are to take part too.

Majed Al zeer, General Director of Palestinian Return Centre and President of Palestinians in Europe Conference, Adel Abdallah, Secretary General of Palestinians in Europe Conference and a number of Palestinian Artists: Abu Arab, Abdul Fattah Owaynat and Kifah Ruzayqi will countbute in the events.
