London – The Palestinian Return Centre (PRC) has submitted a series of formal briefing notes to several governments and international bodies, including the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, the UK Parliament, the European Parliament, and the diplomatic missions of UN Member States in New York, addressing the documented violations of the Gaza ceasefire declared on 10 October 2025.
The briefings are based on data and reports from reliable field sources, as well as from UN agencies and international humanitarian organisations, which confirm repeated violations by Israeli forces. These include artillery and air strikes on populated areas, live-fire incidents targeting civilians, obstruction of humanitarian aid delivery, and continued arrests and movement restrictions imposed on the population of Gaza.
The PRC noted that such acts constitute serious breaches of international humanitarian law and demonstrate an ongoing, deliberate pattern of targeting civilians and undermining international efforts to sustain the humanitarian truce. The Centre added that the briefings contain specific recommendations urging states and international institutions to press Israel to fully comply with the ceasefire, lift restrictions on humanitarian access, and hold perpetrators of violations accountable, in addition to calling for a formal review of Israel’s compliance with Article 2 of the EU-Israel Association Agreement, which contains the human rights clause.
The PRC affirmed that these briefings fall within its recognised role as an organisation holding Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), and within its broader efforts to provide policymakers with accurate, evidence-based information that supports accountability and justice for the Palestinian people.
Commenting on the content of the submissions, the PRC stated that the situation on the ground in Gaza continues to deteriorate daily, despite international expressions of relief following the ceasefire announcement. The Centre stressed that Israel’s persistent violations, ongoing blockade, and restrictions on humanitarian access reveal a lack of genuine respect for its stated commitments and expose deeply troubling intentions regarding the future of the truce and the stability of the Gaza Strip.
PRC further warned that mainstream media outlets have largely ignored these serious violations and the ongoing humanitarian crisis, contributing to the erasure of the realities faced by Palestinians under occupation.
PRC concluded by reaffirming that the international community bears a clear legal and moral responsibility to ensure Israel’s adherence to international humanitarian law and to protect Palestinian civilians, urging concrete measures that translate words into action and prevent a repetition of Gaza’s ongoing humanitarian catastrophe.
