As part of raising awareness about the Palestinian cause, a 2-day event is expected to take place in Surrey University. The event is organized by Surrey Islamic society in association with the Palestinian Return Centre (PRC) and Palestinian solidarity campaign in the UK.
Palestinian Awareness day will take place on the 10th and 11th Feb with the cooperation of Surrey student’s Union. The event will be an opportunity to understand the conflict in the Middle East and a chance to hear some views about the Palestinian Israeli conflict like the Right of Return, humanitarian conditions in the Gaza strip and the position of the British government.
The very unique event will include Photo Galleries on various issues relating to Palestine. The Galleries will highlight on the Nakba, assault on Gaza and Apartheid Wall in the West Bank. Additioاهnally, lectures will take place in the 2nd day where various speakers will speak on a number of topics.
Timetable of the event is as follows:
Exhibition (10th and 11th of February) will take place in Surrey University Main hall. There will be Posters, leaflets, Palestinian koffiya, CD’s, and many other Palestinian accessories. Gifts will be given to participating students.
