PRC at a Glance

The Palestinian Return Centre (PRC) is an independent, non-partisan organisation based in London, established in 1996. It is dedicated to the promotion and protection of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people—foremost among them, the right of return.

PRC conducts expert research, documentation, advocacy and awareness-raising on the plight of Palestinian people. Its work covers both the historical and contemporary dimensions of displacement, with a particular focus on the aftermath of the Nakba of 1948 and its lasting humanitarian, legal, and political impact.

PRC is not affiliated with any political party or movement. It operates on the principle that the Palestinian struggle is not only one of national liberation but also a universal human rights cause, grounded in international law and the shared ideals of justice, dignity, and freedom.

In July 2015, PRC was granted consultative status at the United Nations as a Non-governmental organization (NGO) in special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), in recognition of its efforts in standing up for Palestinian human rights.

Our Values

PRC believes in inclusivity, dialogue, and cooperation with all sectors of civil society, regardless of ethnicity, religion, or political affiliation. We fully respect the political views and convictions of all individuals participating in our initiatives in a personal capacity.

Given that Palestinians have long been denied the right to live in peace, dignity, and freedom in their homeland, PRC remains firmly committed to mobilising both Palestinians and supporters worldwide to advocate for the full restoration of Palestinian national rights.

Our Work

PRC produces a wide range of materials—statements, reports, articles, videos, books, and policy briefs—to shed light on the conditions of Palestinian refugees across the globe, including those living in refugee camps in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip.

The Centre organises and participates in international conferences, seminars, and briefings—particularly at United Nations headquarters in Geneva and New York, as well as other locations around the world to advocate for durable and just solutions in accordance with international law.

Through partnerships with civil society, legal experts, academics, and parliamentarians, PRC aims to ensure the refugee question remains central to political discourse and decision-making processes.

Our Funding:

The Palestinian Return Centre PRC depends primarily on donations from people who believe in its cause. It accepts contributions in money from any source as long as there are no strings or conditions attached. Hence it urges all interested persons and investors to support its efforts.

PRC believe that our cause is much larger than the efforts of a single institution, organisation or grouping. For this reason, the PRC wishes to share the responsibility of explaining this issue to the various stakeholders and work towards directing the final return of the refugees to Palestine.

Accordingly, our work compliments and does not contradict any other effort aimed at realising Palestinian national aspirations. The PRC will, therefore, coordinate with and place all its resources at the disposal of any individual or group working for the advancement of our cause.
